Undergraduate Studies

The General Assembly of the Department works out the program of Studies. Revision of the program can be made each April after proposal of the Committee of Studies.

Courses of Program of Studies

The courses of Program of Studies are distinguished in compulsory and electives. The compulsory courses are distributed in semesters, while the electives are not. Every course has a code number, after this follow the title of the course and three  numbers. These numbers represent the hours of teaching of theory, exercises and laboratories respectivily. Finally points and ECTS points of each course are also mentioned.

Each academic year all compulsory courses as well as some of the elective courses are offered.

Courses from other Departments

The Computer Science & Engineering Department offers its students the possibility to assemble up to twelve (12) points for those students which follow the Computer Science & Engineering Program of Studies and up to eight (8) points for the others, after they follow and are successfully examined in courses of three other Departments of Natural Sciences, namely Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, by the Department of Economics and by the Department of Philosophy, Education and Psychology. Especially, for the follow-up of courses in other Departments,which follow the Computer Science Program of Studies, apart from the consent of the corresponding Department, consent of the Committee of Studies of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering is also required. In order to be able to take a course from another Department, its content should not be similar to any compulsory or elective course of the Department of Computer Science or any course in which the student has already been successfully examined.

Statement of Courses

The statement of courses should be made in the beginning of each semester and in exclusive deadline of two weeks from the beginning of courses of the corresponding semester. For the follow-up of courses of Computer Science Program of Studies, the maximum number of courses in which the student can register is nine (9) for all. In this number is also included, as one course for each semester, the thesis that a student may take as well as any registered course in other Departments of Natural Sciences.For the follow-up of courses of Computer Science & Engineering Program of Studies, the maximum number of courses in which the student can register is six (6) for freshers in first semester, five (5) for freshers in second semester and nine (9) for all others. The student must register in ten (10) semester the thesis. The thesis is like a statement of six (6) courses.

At the statement of courses compulsory courses of previous semesters should be at first priority and compulsory courses of this semester should follow.
